This 50-minute yoga class recording is designed for beginners who are interested in practicing the vinyasa style of yoga. The focus of the class is on the principle of timing, which involves holding poses for varying lengths of time. The class starts with poses held for 3 breaths, gradually working down to 1 breath per pose. Students are encouraged to explore the variations and to bring an understanding to how timing/holds can be used to vary ones personal practice to suit your needs on the day. I guide the students through a sequence of poses that are synchronised with the breath, helping to improve coordination, flexibility, strength, and balance. The class ends with a relaxation and meditation period to help students feel calm and rejuvenated. Although aimed at beginners you may feel challenged (which is very normal and not a bad thing at all!) as we move this flowing sequence if it is your first time doing a flow type class. As with everything, practice brings familiarity, confidence and transformation - enjoy the process as that's what yoga is about.
