60 Min Vin Yin Hamstrings, Hips and Lower Back (recorded live)
$8.00
This 60 min yoga practice (recorded with a live audience) was designed to release tension in your hips, hamstrings, and lower back. In this class, we will flow through some gentle mat based vinyasa sequences to warm up our bodies, and then transition into a Yin style practice that focuses on deeper stretches and longer holds. We will explore poses such as shoelace, frog, and butterfly, which target these areas of the body, helping to increase flexibility, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. Join me on the mat and let's connect with our breath, move with intention, and find space and ease in our bodies.
Yin yoga can help increase flexibility in these areas by targeting the connective tissue that surrounds the muscles and joints. By holding poses for longer periods of time, we can slowly and safely stretch this tissue, which can lead to increased mobility and range of motion.
Secondly, yin yoga can help reduce tension and stress in the body. The long holds in yin yoga can be a form of mindfulness meditation, allowing us to connect with our breath and quiet our minds. This can help us release physical and mental tension, which can accumulate in the hamstrings, lower back, and hips.
Lastly, yin yoga can promote relaxation and balance in the body. The slow, meditative nature of the practice can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the body's rest and digest response. This can lead to a sense of calm and balance, which can be particularly helpful for those who experience chronic pain or stress in these areas of the body.
